Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’ is one of the most highly anticipated films of the summer, and Filmclub the nationwide after-school initiative and experts in films for young people, took two junior reporters to interview the cast and director to get the low-down on the next big movie hit, before attending the star-studded European Premiere.

13-year-old Victoria Bowes from Rawlett Community Sports College in Tamworth Staffordshire, and 13-year-old Ben Angus from The Boswells School in Chelmsford who are members of Filmclub, quizzed the film’s cast.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead, star of the upcoming, highly anticipated summer film, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, stopped by the PAPER offices the other day. She was looking adorable in her little French school-girl-inspired get-up, and chatted with us a bit about her upcoming role in the graphic-novel-turned-film, which is bound to propel her from “the girl from The Ring 2” to super-starlet status. We really are so excited about this movie, about a boy (Michael Cera) who must defeat his new girlfriend (Winstead)’s seven evil ex-boyfriends in order to win her heart. It features every hot young actor du jour — in addition to Cera and Winstead, Alison Pill, Anna Kendrick, Satya Babha, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Jason Schwartzman, Mark Webber… “It was like camp!” said Winstead of shooting the movie.

Mary makes a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearence in Caitlin Crosby’s new video for her song Flawz. In the video, Caitlin uses fan and friend submitted photos of them holding signs, embracing their differences. I am a long time fan of Caitlin’s and I love the message she is sending.
