Mary was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, looking lovely and being utterly charming! If you missed it or just want to watch again, check out the videos below…
Even after six books and an upcoming feature film, there’s still a lot we don’t know about Scott Pilgrim’s mysterious lady love Ramona Flowers. Fortunately, actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead helped us shed some light on Ramona’s shadowy past.
Winstead explained that each cast member received a list from Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley detailing ten facts about their character that wasn’t in the books or the film. Ramona’s list described her pre-Toronto life:
It was just a lot about her childhood and her relationships that aren’t talked about in the books and the movie that kind of shaped who she is. And it made me understand what a sort of sad character she is at the core and not so much bad-ass and mysterious and cool so much as just guarded because she’s been through a lot of…you know.
Although Winstead wasn’t sure how much she could reveal, we did manage to coax one detail out of her, in the video above.
Mary has hit up both Phoenix and Denver as she promotes Scott Pilrim VS. The World with her co-stars Brandon Routh and Keiran Culkin. I have added a few twitpics to the GALLERY

PHOENIX — If you take a little romance, some music and mix in a bit of comedy and action, along with a video game or two, you’d have the new movie “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.”
It’s a unique and funny movie.
Stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead (who plays Ramona), Kieran Culkin (the title character’s best friend) and Brandon Routh (one of Ramona’s ex-boyfriends), stopped by to chat with Kaley O’Kelley about the film.
Mary is featured in the latest issue of Under The Radar Magazine in which she discusses Scott Pilgrim vs The World and The Thing
Actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead is most certainly worth fighting over. Already a TV veteran by the time she was cast in such teen scream flicks asFinal Destination 3 and the 2006 remake of Black Christmas, Winstead had a breakthrough year in 2007, appearing as John McClane’s daughter-in-distress in Live Free or Die Hard and starring in Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse segment Death Proof. It was the latter performance that caught the attention of director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz), who had contributed a faux trailer for the B-movie double-feature. In Wright’s upcoming Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, the anticipated film adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s acclaimed graphic novel series, Winstead plays Ramona Flowers, a girl with a lot of baggage when it comes to dating—seven exes that the story’s titular hero must fight against to win her heart. On a break from shooting scenes for the upcoming prequel to John Carpenter’s 1982 horror classic The Thing, Winstead spoke with Under the Radar about screaming and scary movies, evil exes, and what it’s like to work with Michael Cera and Edgar Wright. (Pick up our Summer 2010/Wasted on the Youth issue for an article in which Winstead talks about Labyrinth, one of her favorite films as a child. Also read an interview with Scott Pilgrim director Edgar Wright in the same issue.)

Monday was the press junket for Scott Pilgrim VS The World. Mary along with Ellen Wong sat down with Trailer Addict for an interview. Check it out.
I would expect more interviews to be coming out in the next couple of weeks. We are in the home stretch, people!
Tonight was the official world premiere of Scott Pilgrim Vs The World at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Mary looked absolutely FLAWLESS in red. This might be, by far, my favorite premiere look of her’s. Check out the pictures in the GALLERY
