May 10th, 2012 Mary makes Complex Top 10 Actresses of Summer

Mary made Complex.com top 10 hot actress of the summer at number 8 and we would definitely agree.

8. Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Movie:Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
Release date: June 22

If the movie’s title isn’t enough to plant you in a seat at the theater, then Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s role as Lincoln’s wife Mary Todd Lincoln should pique your interest. As Lincoln’s right-hand woman, Winstead functions as the sense of stability and support the would-be President needs on his quest to end slavery by ending the blight of vampires. It is still unconfirmed whether or not Winstead wields a stake alongside Benjamin Walker’s Lincoln, but given the movie’s a stretch of the imagination already, we’re not ruling out the possibility

I also updated the gallery of images from her twitter.

April 9th, 2012 Sundance Portrait by Henry Garfunkel

I have finally added portrait images of Mary from Sundance but unfortunately they are tagged. I wanted to add them a while back but was hoping I would be able to get them untagged, no such luck though. If anyone could get them untagged for us that would be wonderful and be such a big help. For now you can view them below with tags.

April 3rd, 2012 Metro Interviews Mary

Metro recently did an interview with Mary discussing her projects and you can read the whole article here.

You’ve done a couple of horror films – do you enjoy them?

I’m a big fan of horror films – there’s always something to be excited about and get invested in. Some of the first horror films I saw were The Shining, Alien and Rosemary’s Baby, which have become three of my favourite films ever.

Do you read reviews of the films you’ve been in?

When the film first comes out I go on Rotten Tomatoes to see what people think. I was a little surprised by the hostility The Thing received from people who love the John Carpenter version. Everyone made the new film for sincere reasons and I believe it really stands up and is entertaining. It dovetails into the John Carpenter version perfectly.

Your recent indie film Smashed got a better reception. That must have been nice.

Yes – and unexpected. You never know how people will react. It was a 19-day shoot, so it was a bit of

March 27th, 2012 Who should play Johanna in ‘Catching Fire’?

Entertainment Weekly has mention Mary as a good candidate to play Johanna in ‘Catching Fire’ from the Hunger Games series and I personally think Mary would be a terrific choice! I love the series and think Mary would be perfect as Johanna. What are you votes and please vote for Mary on EW.com poll if you agree.

So maybe the better comparison here is to a role like Black Widow in Iron Man 2 — so we should be looking at an established movie actress who could use some franchise credentials. Mary Elizabeth Winstead has done a few action movies, although she doesn’t quite have the Johanna thousand-yard stare.

VOTE HERE.
